LineRay's Days

His nameRay was named after the Chinese character, which means "wise" as well as "musician", who is playing traditional Japanese music. That was enough for us to make this decision to name him Ray. However there was a problem in the English spelling of his name. In Japanese rule, it has to be spelled out as "Rei", which was good, but did not sound good to us. Therefore we decided to put Ray for American Registration, and Rei (Ray) for Japanese Registration.

I have to declare that some other famous Rays influenced this decision. Ray Davies of the great Kinks, Raymond Chandler, the one and only Ray Charles, Ray Manzarek of the Doors, Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Texas Tornado, Raymond Plank of the Apache Corporation (it's a joke) etc. In particular the first two names gave a significant inspiration to this naming.

About his birthRay Aizawa was born on the 1st day of July, 2002 at Memorial Herman Hospital. Houston is now his birth place, and he is a real Texan now. At the time of his birth his weight and height was

Birth Weight: 6 lbs. 14 oz.
Length: 19 3/4 in.

Doctor and nurse said that Ray had big hands and foots as a new born baby. ( so that he would be able to start playing guitar with his dad.......)

Three weeks laterRay has been doing OK, although he is not a well sleeping boy.
